Are carp good to eat, and if so how do fix it?
I have had it rolled in cornmeal and a few spices and fried like other fish it was just fine.

Yeah carp is good. Remove the mud vein then fry, bake or smoke it.

Now I got a little more time for mo betta answer. First ALWAYS skin a carp. After skinning you will see a darker band of meat down the center on each side of the fish. There is what looks like a thin, narrow tube running down the center of that dark meat. That's the mud vein. Get rid of that.
Gut the fish if you have not already done so.
Some folks soak the carp in vinegar. Some soak it in milk. Butter milk or plain sweet milk. I never did.
I like to score the fish vertically, rub butter into the scores and salt and pepper the fish, drizzle with lemon juice wrap in aluminum foil and bake.
It's good fried. Just use your favorite breading, batter etc.
You can smoke it if you've got a smoker.
That's all I know about it cause I don't know no more about it.
Just remember to check with your DNR.
Carp are a fatty fish and all, that's ALL fatty fish can accumulate mercury and PCB'S. There are limits on how often and how much fatty fish you should eat. Pregnant women, very young and very old people should not eat it. Period.
Go look at the YouTube posts for cleaning carp. I personally don’t care for the taste but some people I know do. Like any other fish look at the quality of the water it lives in.
Idk man. I've been trying on the snake for a year or two. Tried almost everything but only thing that's worked is cut bait and worms.
I heard boilies but no luck. Trout love them though.
