For stained water green pumpkin is my go to. Get a pack of green pumpkin and maybe like black or black with blue flake maybe as well. Generally speaking, most creature baits will move enough water with their flappy bits that it will get attention if you're casting in the right spot regardless of color, but that being said it doesn't hurt to add some extra noise or water displacement if your water is that stained - try using a 1/16th oz bullet weight with a glass bead so every time you twitch the bait you get a little "clack". It's a little "hack" I've seen around. It adds a little bit of extra attraction to your finesse fishing.

the easiest thing to throw is a wacky rigged senko. Buy a pack of 5 inch yamamotos. All you need is a pack of black and blue and a pack of green pumpkin. B&B for dirty water and GP for cleaner water, but both can work in either. I use size 2 Owner Mosquito hooks. I find the smaller size works best. I used to throw wacky all of the time. it ALWAYS will catch fish and its easy. Cast out let it sink and bounce it back slowly. They like to eat it on the fall. Throw it at structure (docks, trees in water, under bushes, pipes anything... Points are always good as well. If it were me fishing, I would be throwing something moving for this time of year, but for you I would suggest just throwing the wacky rig since it is so easy and you will not get skunked. you are very lucky, here in michigan weve already had over a foot of snow, so fishing has been tough, have to wait for ice to thaw off the top of the water haha. good luck bro.

I’d go darker ... black, black n blue, dark purple or white if it’s not to muddy. That said, just keep fishing as much as you possibly can. Keep reading bass fishing, watching bass fishing, understand bass behavior, study your body of water... Subscribe to; Tactical Bassin on YouTube. Watch all their videos. Time on the water and try to fish with guys/gals more experienced than you. NEVER GIVE UP!!!πŸ„πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈπŸŽ£

In stained or muddy water bass will usually associate themselves to some type of structure ( wood rock), they also will move shallower this time of year to feed up for colder weather. Try a bait that moves more water or has sound to attract bass. Colors are important depending on clarity of water. If you can see 1-2 foot then you can get by with more natural colors. If visibility is less then that then you may to go to a black or dark blue, or chartreuse color that stands out. Remember bass hunt by vision and sounds so in darker water you want lures that are easier to locate. Also as temps drop bass metabolism does too. They do not burn up a lot of energy chasing bait.

Try live bait....large shiners or nightcrawlers. If it legal in your state, catch some small bluegills and fish them under a bobber.

A black and chart worm does wonders in the muddy water and a nice yellow bladed spinnerbait works over silver too. Also try a red craw crankbait in the spring and a red bladed spinnerbait too.
