THAT was a crappie ? From the markings, it looked like a fat
perch ! Looks more striped/barred than speckled ! Glad you ID-ed it;
if that had been a perch, then it would-a been a real porker !

Around the country they are called different names but it sure looked like what is called crappie here.

Yep ! i see that ! But it seemed to me, looking at his picture, that the pattern looked more 'barred' like a perch than 'speckled ' ! Granted, I may need glasses eventually, but for now I'm only needing those cheap 'readers' for the fine print, so don't get why I couldn't see the difference !

Ones I have seen from Oklahoma look more like wm than the ones here.
