OZ you had me chuckling at "I put the collar on". I was thinking "this is something I can see myself doing", only thank goodness my dog is a rat terrier and I am not a pencil neck, so that just wouldn't work. Good one.

Not sure of your situation but I will tell you our story. We lost our dog of 12 years and put himdown. we wanted another dog but I am approaching 70 and we do not want a dog that will outlive us so we got a rescue dog 10 years old that needs a new home before she got ufinized. She has a major barking problem probably because the people left her at home and she stands on the couch and looks out the window looking for something or someone to bark at. We bought a couple bark collars but the batteries would only last a week or 2 and they did not work that well and hurt her. spent almost a hundred bucks on that. When she goes by by in the car with us she barks at cars motorcycles and ifI need gas or groceries she barks constantly disrupting everyone. Finally I found a black cloth mask that fits over her nose and covers her eyes. It has a piece of webbing over the top of her head and two that go around her necck and meet in the middle so she cannot get it off. She is used to it now and the barking in the car does not happen anymore. she lays in her dog bed in the back seat and is quiet. I have to keep the curtains in the house closed or put the mask on her occasionally at home but it does not hurt her and she can see a little thru the mask Probably not a good idea for a dog that lives outside in fenced yard or chained up all the time.It only cost 15 dollars on amazon. I would let her know you are close to her and she will stay calm also works good if you put it on to trim her nails or haircut.
