This reminds me of my husband's favorite song ,"Where I Find God" by Larry Fleet with Morgan Wallen. This was an early Sunday morning, just fishing. We had experienced another crazy week and this view was just what I needed. The waters were so calm and the area was so quiet and peaceful. We didn't catch a thing, but sometimes that's not what is most important.

Thank you so much! I'm not an expert angler by any means, but I have grown up fishing on our lake and I have learned a lot from my husband. It was so much fun and super surprising. Catches like these make up for all the times I go home without a catch to record lol I haven't caught another since so far, but I enjoy the scenery and time spent enjoying my family. Fishing teaches patience and perseverance. 👍🏼

Yes, I intended to catch crappie, but I ended up with this big surprise cat fish. I suppose it was due to the declining waters of the lake at that time (we live near a dam). That's one thing that is so fun about fishing, it's the unpredictability. 😊

Thanks so much! We are trying to teach him to be a good fishing dog. He is learning fishing etiquette ☺️ he loves to watch us cast and reel, help with catching and releasing, digging holes, swimming, and exploring. It can sometimes be a challenge but it is worth it.

He LOVES catfish! We did not let him check it out before releasing it. He is confused and upset as to why he didn't get to "kiss the catfish" before it swam away 😂 but this cat was a handful enough just for us, it would have ate Bran in one bite😂

I caught this 7lb channel cat fish on West Point Lake, GA this morning. My biggest catch ever and I could not have done it without my husband and beagle pup 🙂. I was leisurely fishing for crappie and caught this cat on an ultra light rod and 6lb test line with a minnow! It was awesome! FYI: there were mayflies swarming where we were fishing 😉. Happy Father's Day, and everybody get excited about fishing! 👍🏻

Thanks! He is our beagle we rescued and he LOVES fishing! He is a great companion. Even though beagles are known for hunting, he is a natural fishing dog lol (or learning to be).

My husband and I are natives of West Point Lake, GA. Loving the lake life, we enjoy fishing and go literally any and every chance we get. Our little fishing family includes my husband and I and our beagle pup. My husband is an experienced angler and I do my best to keep up. I can think of countless reasons to fish, but I enjoy the connection it brings me personally with nature, family, and self awareness.
