Tony...go to the Colorado Parks and Wildlife website and look for the Colorado Fishing Atlas. It's a great resource for all the places to fish in Colorado and lists the various species stocked in the lakes. For fishing reports, try FishExplorer.com.
Good Luck,

I found this to be a valuable resource when I first came to Colorado 10 years ago.

There are a number of lakes in the Denver/Colorado Springs area that are good for warm water fish. The further away you can get from the cities, the less crowded the lakes will be. Have you looked at the Fishing Atlas? It's a great source provided by CPW for getting details and locations of fishing spots. /ndismaps.nrel.colostate.edu/index.html?app=FishingAtlas
I am a senior old guy living in Colorado Springs and looking places to fish for warm water species. Formally lived in Central Texas and miss the bass and catfish fishing.
