You could try the dock at Offut Lake. Trout at 6 lbs have been caught this spring. There are a lot of hatchery trout. Pink and orange power bait eggs are a good bet for bait. Cost $7.00 to fish from the dock, unless you’re a senior. $6.00 if you’re a senior. Check out their website and give them a call for info. The folks there are friendly and helpful.
Thank you for all your advice! Your comment about no fish is worth drowning for, really hit home. I was fishing Pacific Beach up north a few years back when a wave knocked me off my feet. I had wadded out almost chest deep. Thankfully I had a CO2 inflatable vest on. Without the vest I wouldn’t be writing this now. I seldom wade in more than knee deep now. And I still wear an inflatable vest. Thanks again Kdra!
Looking for recommendations for Surf Perch fishing on WA state beaches from Grays Harbor to Neah Bay. What are the best beach locations, time of year, preferred tides and choice of gear and bait?
Only a couple today...but boy oh boy the trout were biting...My buddy caught around a 12incher. Bite was slow but the quality was refreshing....PNW for Life
Nice crappie! Thanks for sharing. Where were you chasing fin?
