I have finished the year fishing out of the boat. I am now a bank fisherman until the ice over comes. I have made a couple of trips to Ravenna Lake and did some bass fishing. Did alright but not as good as years past. May try some trout fishing at a local pond next.
I went to Sherman Friday 9-8 with my grandson so he could catch some largemouth bass. He ended up catching 16 and up to 3 1/2 pounds in size. And yes, I did catch 12 also and 4 crappie. Spent most of the time letting him fish the good spots. Will probably be up there again next week to catch some more fish. Hopefully we can get into some walleye if the bass don't cooperate.
We went to Sherman again Wednesday the 6th. Caught 15 largemouth bas and 12 white bass. Planning to take my grandson Friday the 8th in my 1998 Green Tracker Deep V17 with walk through windshield. Hopefully he can catch a bunch also.
Made another trip up to Sherman Tuesday August 29. We had a good day catching fish. We mostly caught largemouth bass, crappie and one northern pike. We may have to go up again to see if they are still biting.
Finally made it back up to Sherman Thursday. Water level is going down but the fish are biting. Caught 2 keeper and one slot walleye plus 3 largemouth bass on spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Quit about 1:00. Not sure where heading next.
My truck is in the shop for a week now, so I'm marooned at home. Have a good day on the water but leave me a few for when we can get back on the water too!
I had to postpone till next Monday the 14th. Too bad about your truck.
