Good morning Doug, OJ and all to follow. For me here in the middle it sounds strange to hear of fishing season opening as it never shuts down here. I do hope you get to go fishing as I have the boat hooked to the truck, getting ready to eat a bit and then hit the road. Happy fishing to all who gets to get a hook wet today!! 🎣🎣🎣

Glad to hear that you were catching Bill S. We're going back to the lake we fish tomorrow morning, leaving by 6 and hope to be in the water by 7:15. We will be chasing walleye first and then crappie. Winds will probably chase us off the water by noon when we are told the wind will be 20+ mph.

Good morning everyone 65 high 80 have to finish planting garden this morning rain coming later today
calling doctor today make appointment to get shots in both shoulders again pain kept me awake most of the night

Dbed I'm sorry to hear of your pain and I do hope the shots bring you some relief. As far as sleeping goes I got about 3 1/2 hours last night but I see there are other Stagers all over the country who are not sleeping either so that helps keep me encouraged. So I really hope the shots help you a lot.

Good morning all. It's 46 now after another night of storms with a high of 66 today and more storms and winds. But that's ok because my wife works her pt job today. Have a good day everyone.

True friends are hard to find. I don't know about the rest of you but when my wife I retired our income dropped drastically, and did the number of people we thought were friends.
I do hope all who attended your meet and greet at the Eagle (wherever that is for you easterners), I hope you have a good time. But leave the still at home so you can get back home.😡
Wish there was something like that here in the middle, but we do plan on looking up one or two others this summer. Be safe and drown a worm.

Great memories were made that day. It's always good to see grandkids enjoying our sport.

Congrats on your catch and, I'm sure you enjoyed the solitude of having the lake to yourself.

Your concept is coming together nicely. My only concern as an outsider looking in is the open space for the wheels when you wrap the foam board with the poor man fiberglass. Also when you have it all together and if you need to, there's plenty of room to add more of the builders foam board in the middle.
We're excited to see your progress.

All I can say is, Thank God I live in the South!

Passingbye, I left the south because I wanted to live where there were 4 seasons not just hot & humid or cold & humid. Now I'm old and wish to live where there aren't 4 seasons.

My son lives near Fremont and fishes there often. We did too when we lived in Wahoo. There are a number of small ponds within the far west side camping area off old hwy 30 and Puttle Huddle Rd (between hwy 30 and Military) We have caught crappie, lg mth bass a catfish there, and bluegills
I believe they call it Cottonwood Cove. I would fish any of the lakes except Victory Lake which is mostly dedicated to speed boats and the like. Find an older park worker and I'll bet you could be directed to a good spot.
My son kayaks many of the lakes and has caught several master angler bass there. So, Fish On and enjoy.

Morning too all
Prayers for the storm ravaged areas north and east of us.
It’s 67 now going to 80 with rain and storms returning on Wednesday
Having to replace the trolling motor plug on the boat.
Designers put the plug right where I rest my foot while fishing. Broke it at Amistad last Saturday.
New plug was $124.00. It’s the battery tender that has a securing screw when plugged in.

Ouch πŸ’²πŸ’²πŸ’²!!! My trolling motor plug shorted itself out last week. Thankful for the inline 60 amp breaker between it and the troller. But I didn't spend near that much on my replacement. (I'm Not saying that cheeper is better) heading to one of our local (55 mile drive) lakes in a few minutes. Fish On!!
