Hi mudriverjoe I’ve been on here a couple months. I’m in the Chiefland area not quite the panhandle lol. I’ve been fishing the Suwannee River, Waccasassa River and the Withlacoochi Rivers. Quite a few different species in the rivers so far. All those rivers dump into the gulf for trout, redfish, sharks & rays. Apparently they fall & winter over in the deeper sections of the river. This will be my first fall down south. Catfish, has been the primary catch for us but we’re still learning and enjoy catching anything. Hope this helps !
Nice fish thanks for the pics & info !
Looks like a great day on the water! Thanks for the pics .

Hi Bruce I recently moved from Frankfort NY to north Florida. My boys & I used to go to chittening pond on route 20 west of Bridgewater. Always caught pickerel, largemouth bass and sunfish. You can fish from shore but better with boat & trolling motor. Welcome & good luck !
Thanks DC most people I know have no idea of that old song and look at me funny when I say it. Thanks
Thanks Billy we think so !
New to Florida fishing this year! My grandson & I have been fishing the beautiful Suwannee River for a couple months. Always a thrill to see sturgeon leaping out of the water! Primarily fishing for catfish catching channel cats, white cats , bull head and small speckled cats. We’ve also been fortunate enough to catch bream, bass, stripper, bowfin, American eel and hook up to a couple large alligator snapping turtles.
