Good afternoon Anglers! Has anyone fished Lake Sampson lately and if so, can you give any pointers on bait, rig setup, ect. Hoping to bring home some blue gill and maybe Specs.

I haven't but plan to in a couple of weeks. Lived in NE Florida all my life within 40 miles of them but never did much lake fishing. Mostly St. Mary's River and it's tributaries.
Thanks Gatrboy52. Got some small bluegill, small bass and mudfish. Got to say the mudfish were lots of fun. A very beautiful lake though.
Anyone fished Palestine Lake in Union County Florida lately. Wondering what's been biting and bait being used. Going tomorrow. Hope that full moon has them attacking.

My brother in law fished Leesburg last weekend. He was tournament fishing for bass but said he saw some crappie getting hooked. I'm going for a few days on the Suwanee next week for that and some Suwanee Bass. Heard they are hitting well around the trash piles and shade.

I'm from Jacksonville. New member too. Can't be much help I'm sure. Fish mostly rivers and creeks. Just wanted to say welcome.
Taking a few days to relax at the end of the month and going to Old Town Florida. Staying in a house on the Suwanee River. Any good insight for baits and fishing times in this area. Plan to do mostly bank fishing and interested in bass, specs, warmouth,etc.
