We used to get walleye as soon as the ice was off in berlin res.until may using sonar blades red and white wth/touch of yellow. Hav to bump them on bottom and lift back up slow or fast? Could be any speed from a slow wobble to rippin it 3-4'.seemed like you didnt let them thump on bottom they wer only good for a couple limited out most days bumping it hard.

If your fidhing for walleye there is a bar that runs from 224 bridge opposit from t he damit runs off of the wesr cornerabout 100 ft from bridge and runs for a couple of hundred yards.this is a great area to very slowly troll or drift crawlers on the bottom.also if your coming from main lake you go under r.r.bridge about halfway to 14 bridge it narrows on the right that corner where it nartows that corner on the right is a gpod area tp drift an troll especially right on the corner

Yes but here there put in to take out and get people interested in fishing and the out doors.they put them in small public ponds where they dont survive after the w a ter warms up.so the more that are caught the better plus its needed protein for some people that use fish to supplement their groceries.

Nerk ,howdy im slojoe from pataskala ohio right down the road from you i have had great luck fishing the breakwall at walnut beach by ashtabula. We fish right on the breakwall from sept.till dec.or jan.or until you cant stand the cold ive caught them as late as march. We usually wear waders and a good heavy waterproof coatas the water will splashon you and every half hr.or so you have to break the ice off yourself.ive fished in blizzards and limited out in less than an hr.and thats thebonly problem driving 3hrs or more to only be allowed 2 fish.the only up side is if you stay there and fish at night you can pick up some nice walleyes and your allowed six of them spend the night and the next mornin get up and get 2 more stealhead good luck let me kno how you do.
