Hello everyone. I'm here on vacation from NY Fingerlakes region where I've spent most of my life fishing fresh water lakes, creeks, rivers and ponds for Bass, Pike, Perch, Trout and the likes. My preferred weapon of choice is a spinning rod/reel, lighter test and artificial bait, (plugs, spoons, spinners, and soft bait rigs.) I'm OK with a fly rod but not as proficient. So here I am on vacation on the Aucilla River about 2 miles upstream from the Gulf, watching the tides go in and out, seeing fish jumping around me and throwing everything in my tackle boxes at the river without so much as a single strike. What am I missing here?!? Any insight/suggestions would be appreciated...
