The last one I saw was back in the 60’s while I was fishing up the Nolan on Lake Whitney. I was night fishing on the riverbank and everybody else had gone to bed in the tents. I had a feeling I was being watched. I had caught a couple of channel cats and enjoying the night. I had some sensemilla and was taking a toke when he came and set down beside me there on the river bank. I shared my refer with him and gave him one of the catfish. We chatted a while then he said he had to head back up the river. He was a very peaceful dude and an intelligent soul.
