Went ultralight jigging in a 42 degree Central Jersey lake this afternoon in the rain with a south wind small craft advisory. Caught and released 32 white perch, 7 yellow perch, a black crappie, a bluegill, and a pumpkinseed sunfish with Walmart red worm halves on two gold hooks and a 1/32 oz unpainted leadhead jig on 4 lb test line. Caught and released 579 fish in 17 trips to the same spot this year. Saw nine other fishermen, several containers of Walmart red worms 🪱, and many fish in buckets of water. No cars were in the parking lot when I left and the air temp was 37 degrees.

Love fishing those smaller lakes and ponds. I used to use small Senko for the perch which always seemed to work well. Thats a LOT of fish. Glad you put them back. Tight lines and happy fishing.
