Great set up both boat and the truck. Looks like you and your son had some fine fish fighting opportunities with those carp. The weather looks nice too. Just can't beat an old nightcrawler for fishn'. A guy can catch anything on one. I'm glad you got out and enjoyed the day, good to see the smiles in your pics. Thanks for sharing. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏

Thanks Andy. We had a fun day, and the carp gave a good fight.

I saw your last fishing post when you mentioned it was raining and most other boats departed the lake. Good for you continuing onward and crushing bass, nice ones at that...good catching!

I’m aware of most people’s disdain for pickerel but this one takes the cake! Caught probably 12-13 snot rockets along with the monster pictured along with 3 bass at 12” or so, all taken on weightless 6” Culprits. Hard to believe that the rocket pictured would entertain such an offering.

Nice going Bk, outdoors on a beautiful day and caught a few.

What I got done today . Marking out the glue are and screw holes.
Sorry I didnt get any pictures of the glue up. I had to get it all spread and screwed together before the glue dried. Now I need to let it dry for a day.

Looking good…another step complete!

Took the puppy to the beach this morning and let my fishing rod tag along. First bite was a Bluefish and the second was a Bonnet Head Shark. Ocean was flat and the dog is getting use to the water.

Looks like a nice day for surf fishing and for Lily too. Good catching, nice pics and that pier is out there a ways.

Nice day out DV.
Not everyone enjoys catching carp but they can be fun to catch.

I've never been to Blue Marsh. 120 miles from me via 81.
👍🎣

Yes, a nice day out Grizz, it was warm and sunny for a change. I enjoy being on the water and like the fight a fish gives so it does not matter to me/my son what species it is. All the fish go back in the water to be caught again unless someone fishing with me or near me wants to take them.

120 miles would be a long haul, local fishing is convenient…

Thank you and it was a good time. Three generations out fishing together would/will be great.

Looks like you got a boat load DV. Thanks for sharing the pictures 📸

You are welcome and it was a fun day. I think the few days of warmer weather improved the bite from the last time I was out.

Good! You probably know the lake better than me, I only started fishing it last year. Hope to run into you some day there.

Well it is back to reality today. After the great outing with Tyler on Monday was fired up to give DVL a try. Got to the lake early and it was fairly dense fog and cold until about 10:30. Throw in the algae bloom starting and moss on your hook about 75% of the time, not an ideal day. Managed 10 fish and all were small. Biggest, maybe 1 1/2 lb. Looks like I will be heading back to Skinner or maybe another outing at SanV.

Nice bass OldBassGuy, good catching. 10 is a bunch of fish!

Went to the Stono River this morning and got a mess of Whiting. Caught about 20 and had 16 keepers. Caught two Trout that were under size and two Bonnet Head Shark. Can only keep 1 Bonnet Head so the second one caught got the free ride and it was twice as big as the one I took home. Also got a Star Fish. It went back in also.

Nice fish Gordon and a bunch of them, a beautiful day too.
