Ive been reading alot of freshwater fishing books. I could reccomend a couple. Also In Fisherman is a great freshwater subscription that is inexpensive.
I have a 5 6" ultra light spinner for streams a 6 6" medium spinner and my new 8 6" med heavy baitcaster im trying out for shore on lakes. Very generally speaking ultra light to medium spinning rods. Keep it simple and build up.
Buy cheap mono line and keep it as light as you can tolerate. Tie directly to lures except spinners use a snap swivel. Salmon eggs for trout. Worms for trout and everything else. DOWNLOAD CPW FISHING APP and explore!

Wassup everybody. I live in montrose co. Im shore fishing. I wind up fishing ridgway res alot. Also looking for worthwhile places to check out in the area. Let me know how to attack ridgway and if you know any worthwhile areas.
