Hey Hoppy! I'm your White River downstream neighbor up on the west end of Table Rock. Even tho I've lived very close to Beaver a good portion of my life, I never fished it. Only Arkansas fishin I ever did was on War Eagle Creek and Lake Fayetteville. Best Beaver Lake memory is fried chicken at Monte Ne. Only an Arkansas resident will understand that one. You're gonna love this family of goobers here on the Stage. Lots of amazing folks, plenty of great stories and fun stuff, too.

YesTRB, Dave who owns Monte Neh Chicken does a great job. In fact, I just ate there last week. 😍 Yum!!!

Hey boys & girls - my name is AJ Hauser and I run a site called The Minimalist Fisherman. My buddy Mike (AKA Brother Wiggle Worm, AKA "Tablerockbass") suggested I join this forum so I could read all his pomes.

Well, he actually said I could learn a lot, and also read pomes - so I'm here to learn and get pomed.

I've lived in Illinois all my live (about an hour outside Chicago, which is just a lovely place let me tell you 🙄) and my folks just recently got a property near Bull Shoals, Arkansas. I went down last year and fished with a guide... and Lordy... it was the best NOVEMBER bass fishing I've ever had!

We are really leaning towards moving south. Many reasons. One being not wanting to raise my kids here (my wife and I have just under a basketball-team worth of strapping young lads), the other being... well, let's be honest.

Better fishin'.

Would be very curious to meet some of you folks and get your opinion(s) on the topic - especially if you're originally from the Land 'o Lincoln.

Thanks!

We have much affinity for NW Arkansas, having spent so much time there for business and pleasure. The 3-city aspect of Bentonville, Rogers and Fayetteville offers just about anything folks could desire. Bass Pro in Rogers is my favorite of all in the region, offering genuine customer service. We know lots of good eatin places and enjoy going down as often as possible. We're on the west end of Table Rock, so we're about an hour from Rogers, and it's the best option for stores, restaurants and fishin stuff.
My Google feed popped up with a link this morning you might enjoy. You sound like a guy who's done his research, so you likely know about many of these lakes already. Not mentioned, since it's not a lake, is a "basserie" I fished when I lived down there in the 80s. War Eagle Creek has some honkin bass living in it. The access I used back then is now closed, but I bet you can find a way to get on it. If you've not been there, the mill is B-E-A-utiful and has yummy food. I'm betting our paths cross sometime. Keep them lines tight and enjoy retirement. I know I am.

Wade, glad you signed up! Before the bypass got opened, I traveled thru B. Vista many times a year. A few detours, some forced, some by choice, showed me there's lotsa water around you in the form of little lakes. Not sure where you plan to fish but there's no lack of options close to you. Best of luck and ain't Arkansas better than where you were?? 👍

Howdy TRB, yep, the Bypass has helped. They also have widened most of I49 to Fayetteville to 3 lanes. So, traffic move a little better. There are many places to wet a line, and I try to hit as many as I can 😁. I have snuck up to TR and fished a couple of times. Mostly on the west end. Need to hit TR a lot more. I had been trying to get out of CA for 20 years, but the job was the problem. Just did not want to cut my nose off despite my face and have my retirement messed up. I still let before I should have, but could not take it anymore. Maybe we can hook up for some Bass chasing.

Looks great to me. We had a Fisher Marine 17 ft that looked almost exactly like that. Caught many a fish in both fresh and saltwater. Good luck. 👍

Oh wow FourchonLa, Fisher Marine!!! My Dad bought a FM back in, hmmm, the mid 80s I think. It was a 18’ modified V with a 70 HP Johnson. We had a lot of fish and good times with that boat. Wish I had it now 😊, and my Dad. We lived in San Diego area and the FMs were common, well not, uncommon. A lot of guys here in AR I talk too never heard of them. Your post brought back great memories.

Welcome to the Stage Wade. Good luck out in the Nitro today! Don't forget,we love pictures.

Thank you Fredfish. Not sure how many pics I will get heading into Winter. I am going on a 4 day trip Lake Sardis OK, maybe I will be able to get a pic there. Never been to this lake before, so not sure what to expect. I am sure I will catch some fish, just do not know if they will be pic worthy.

Welcome to the stage. And we love ❤️ pictures

Me too Flytier. Tough day at the OK Corral today. With my friends in 5 boats fishing the same lake only a few fish, most with none. I caught a about a 1/2 lb’er, not worth breaking the I-Phone out :-)

Been following for some time and decided to Register. I mostly Bass fish these days. Bought a new Nitro Z19 Pro a couple of years ago and been fishing as much as possible. Retired to AR from So. Calif, so I have a lot of time on San Diego/Riverside lakes and Bay. Trips to Mexico ocean fishing. Enjoying the difference in fishing style/techniques here in NWA. Any Hoot, gotta go git ready for fishing in a couple of hours.
