Anyone know how’s the fishing out of McAvoy’s harbor in Pittsburgh is?
Yes they are completely open. San Pablo Reservoir just closed for the season until Feb.
Has anyone been to Lafayette Reservoir lately? If so how’s the fishing action out there?

I was there last week, way to the right of boat ramp, saw a lot of surface action, only got one. Saw one at the shore line and dropped a worm on its side, head and mouth but wouldn’t it. San Pablo closes this Sunday 13th at 4pm for the season. You can try Lafayette Reservoir, or los vaqueros Reservoir out there by Brentwood and Livermore I believe the action is better there.
May try next week after the trout plant, and also Lafayette Reservoir.
Was just there 10/21, no action seen on shore, several boats, but don’t know if they had any luck. Trout plant between 23-29 of October, rules say can’t fish within 50 yards and 30 minutes of new fish release. Must be some fish there with these plants going on and nobody catching maybe one per 10 people fishing.
I’m there now, just right if launch ramp, 2.5 hrs, no action. People to the right of got one so far.
For San Pablo it’s between 10/23-10/29.
I’m going either to Lafayette Reservoir with a friend or San Pablo Reservoir by myself tomorrow.
