Awesome. How is the water level?

It’s coming up slowly but at least 4-5 feet higher than the bad drought years a short while ago

They are biting on Clearlake… The rain finally let up and cleared by late Saturday morning here on Clearlake. I Didn’t get any early, but by evening this pair- 4#’ers were ready to feed.

Bank casting a few piers this evening and got em on the Blade Bait. Damiki Vault for the win tonight.

Everyone’s getting bit on jerkbaits I hear. Lots of fish but they are small fish. Better in quality fish are hitting the underspin I hear, but in much fewer number.

I thought I’d be different. This section of shore has seen enough of my jerkbaits already this season. Switched to the blade bait cuz they’ve seen my Lv 500 plenty, and everyone else’s too. Thought I’d be a bit different and BOOM!

Loving that Cabin Life at the Lake.

Good Job Big Sloot! Nothing like the fight of a LM!

Thanks 40Grit, lost of fun indeed. I love this reservoir and both my big fish for the year have come out of this reservoir the last 2 years now. I need to get out there more.

Nice fish were you fishing from the bank or boat

I'm chucking and winding from the bank as I don't have a boat setup yet.

A few weeks back right before Thanksgiving I finally go my happy ass back out to Contra Loma Regional Park Reservoir in Antioch to try my luck. There are giants here who eat DFG hatchery trout for breakfast. Reports were that the bite was tough, but I did manage to land a few good fish. Not the Hogs I was looking for, but it was still a blast. Come along for the whole story if you'd like, as I just finished the full story last night: https://bigslootadventures.com/november-bass-fishing-contra-loma-23/
Here's some pics from that Adventure...

It was good to get up to The Cabin for 3 full days following Thanksgiving, throw a line, sit by the warm fireplace, and enjoy this beautiful lake. Surprisingly, I got smashed by a big White Crappie fishing a deep crank bait along my normal 1/4 mile or so of shore. Bank casting as always, it hit right where I was expecting a Bass to be. The Bass did come later, but this was an ambitious fish for a new Crappie PB. It's only the 2nd White Crappie I've caught and I was impressed and surprised. Fun stuff. Like I said the Bass did come with a 3.9#'er the next morning. Great to get up and enjoy the green from the rains and enjoy this beautiful place. If you'd like to hear more about this story: https://bigslootadventures.com/thanksgiving-afterglow-cabin-life/ if not, here's some pics. Thanks
