Anyone been catching any Kokanee on Payette lately??
getting that way everywhere these days...
I've only been able to fish in the evening. I haven't fished up that way yet.

Lots of boats out on the lake trolling. I was in the family pontoon boat so not fishing. Trollers that said they were catching Kokanee said they were trolling at 25ft. Not sure about that as most boats were not equipped with downriggers.
I caught 3 on thursday after work, not very deep 7-12 feet is all, one nice 15"er. Just finished putting up 20 jars. My son went Anderson last weekend and slaughtered them. They were all big and fat...
How'd you make out at Payette lake? I hope to get out this week...
the only thing running while I'm fishing is the TM. I only use the FF for depth in the shallows then it gets turned off. The water is only several feet deep so no reason to run anything but the TM...

Wow! That’s cool .! Dude I can’t cook redfish right . I bleed them , try different things , but can’t get rid of the strong “ fishy “ taste . Any quick tips ? …..my 2cents..
interesting, I haven't had that problem, fried em up in butter with onion and garlic with a dash of wooster, maybe try squirtin some lime juice on them from the fruit itself not from the plastic bulb...

Eat tilapia. Get a new measure paper tape the state provides free that has all the limits on it. It’s nice the state provides it. I guess that’s why they charge 160 a fish for oversized or undersized. I’ve been checked a lot at the boat landing. Good luck please leave a couple for me to catch in a couple weeks
we left a buuuuunch of keepers for you...
I put on a 3 battery charging system that charges each trolling motor (TM) battery individually off the power engine, works pretty slick so no worries about killing a battery plus these TM's don't burn up a lot of amps. I can go all day and be just fine..
I was sold on them after being on a boat with it. The anchor is a pain. Don't have to worry about getting wet and pulling up a ton mud that gets all over the boat. Money well spent.
I picked up one on ebay from a guy in Indiana for $650 plus shipping then I got another one on FB marketplace for $100 that needs a mother board and a steering box, about $500 for it all but then I'll basically have a brand new Minn Kota Riptide Terrova which is what they both are. Now I'll have one on both boats... They work great in the river steelhead and salmon fishing put on the bow. Just set it and forget it pretty much. Never have to worry about the anchor getting hung up in the rocks. They hold pretty steady in the current of the Salmon River, only problem is you have to make sure you have good signal as your down in a canyon... They're both 36 volt so you need a truck load of batteries. @4v is to small for the jet boat, a little big for the 20' center console but what the heck, I won't have to worry about getting shoved around.....
may have to check that out before I pack up and head back home in the next couple weeks. Just picked up a Minn Kota with spot lock, need to check it out, make sure it works...
these are Idaho fish. A landlocked chinook I caught while kokanee fishing at Lucky Peak with me pop. The other is a couple steelhead I caught with my son floating the salmon river out of Riggins Idaho last spring..
those were caught in Charleston South Carolina, sorry for the confusion
