Still good for bass, we were told to keep the smaller bass, to increase size of catch, it worked. We were mainly catching 8" - 12" bass, but after keeping and eating these, , I have caught two, just under 6#, three that were 4.5# plus. Also stocked lake with Channel Cats, and Red Ear. they are doing well. It is private, very few fish, the resident age requirement 55. It is not a public park.

Anyone using "casting cannons"

I have an AUTO CAST Mfg. by Harrison-Hoge Industries Inc. St. James N.Y, It has a spring loaded tube, 24" long, with 3 different notches for 3 different strenghs of cast. It has a reel seat and pole with line guides. my pole is broken, so I can't give that length, hope this will help, recoverying from mini stroke and surgery my sel. tight lines my friendf

could never catch the Channels that tore up my limb lines, but, i caught 3 bass on them, 4.44#, 4.3#, and 2.8#. they swallowed the big live blue gill. not a bad exchange bass for cats
