I will. We’re getting the hang of the area and have learned where to crab and fish. We’re far from experts but we do pretty well and have a lot of fun doing it

Nice crabs I sure do miss Oregon

Thanks
It’s beautiful on the Southern coast for sure.
We have a vacation rental there and a lake home we are at 50% of the time.
The people are great as well.

I don't know about the season, but the few times I have been there, (about 10 years ago) that was the best crabbing I have ever had, just west of the R.V. park. We used albacore heads we got at the cleaning station. No exageration. It took two of us to lift the traps over the side of the boat. We had four limits with 2 more released in the first trap and as many in the other 6 traps that we released. I did not know that many crabs could squeeze into a trap.
As for the fishing, we were skunked. Good Luck.

Thank you, we crab there and it’s always pretty good. We usually troll for salmon while the pots are soaking but we thought we’d try perch fishing closer to our pots. We usually fish Half moon and it’s pretty close to the bar so we thought we’d go up river a little to get out of the rollers

I’ll be in Winchester Bay in two weeks. Has anyone caught in Spring Salmon yet. There was a recent report that a 22 year old killed 100’s of Salmon Smolts at the Step fishery. That’s the only recent area report I’ve heard. We plan on trolling for salmon out of Salmon harbor and go up river a little bit. If we can’t get Salmon We’ll fish for some red tail perch.

Our dock at our Lakehouse in Oregon we’ve caught some really nice fish. You can limit on perch everyday. Cut throat are huge. Trophy Large mouth and Coho Salmon run right past our dock. We’re 1/4 mile from the pacific and Tenmile creek runs right into the pacific so the Salmon run through the lake

I fish all three, my brother and I fish for Kokanee all the time in Pedro and have real good luck with them.

It looks like you have it dialed in. We lived in Merced for 18 years so fished all of the lakes. We usually caught trout and Bass. We have a house in Madera Ca and 2 in Oregon now so doing a lot of fishing at Tenmile Lake in Lakeside Oregon and Winchester Bay and the Umpqua river

Out on Don Pedro slow but caught two nice Land-lock King Salmon-- one 3 lb and one 5 lb

Very nice
I haven’t fished Don Pedro in years.
We used to fish McClure, McSwain and Don Pedro. I heard there were Kokanee near the Dam in McClure real deep but never caught one.

Nots not uncommon to catch more than 20 in a day

My home is on Shutters arm.
I’ve caught them all over. Any structure and you’ll get them. We even catch them in the rain. We don’t troll. We fish anchored by structures or from a dock. Lakeshore Lodges dock is huge, public and lots of vegetation. It’s another good place to try.

I'm heading to Tenmile in a couple of weeks. I have mostly fished for bass there but have fished for perch in Minnesota as a kid. As I recall we trolled Wedding Rings with a worm hooked on it. What were you using and about where on the lake for perch?

Perch are thick in that lake by every structure including the County fishing dock. A crappie Rig with night crawlers will be all you need. The numbers of fish caught are amazing. Early morning and early evening is best but we’ve caught them all day long.
