Picked up 2 Steelers at 16 mile creek mouth this week. They’re comin
Wow. That’s awesome. Bet he gave a battle! Good to hear. I think it’s going to be a good year for big fish. Thanks for the reply.
Not catching any steelhead in the creeks yet. I fish most of the creeks in Erie. I generally start to pick up a few at the mouths, 20 mile creek or elk creek. 2nd week in Sept.
Thanks Fred, maybe a good year for big fish. No boat here, but I do love the creeks. Tight lines to ya
Just curious to know if anyone targeting walleyes are catching any steelhead yet, and any size to them?
Welcome Nickmey, I live about 5 miles from Cross Creek lake. It is very good for crappie and largemouth bass. There are fishing platforms on the main entrance in Rea,pa. side, rt.50 or the West Middletown side, rt. 844. Both sides have restrooms and play areas. On the main entrance side, you can also rent boats at the bait store. There are size regulations for the bass if you are keeping any, so make sure to read these. This lake was made for trophy bass.
About 6 weeks away before they start showing at the mouths
Too soon for the creeks but was curious if any steelhead being caught yet while trolling for other species
Any one on the lake catching any steeliest?
I am from Canonsburg, and there are two places with easy access and ports-John’s. One is at the boat launch with handicapped fishing area, and the other is above the spillway
