I have not,but it sounds like a good spot.
It varies with who I'm going with. I like Port Clinton, Huron river area, out of the Cuyahoga River ,it doesn't burn anymore and have done well out of Fairport Harbor.
That's true. I'm going in May. They'll prob be feeding good then. I like Aug and Oct also.
I come and go a few times through summer. I like summer fishing here too much to miss it. It is a bit hot , agreed.

Mangrove snapper really like fiddler crabs. Small baitfish also, the bigger ones seem to like fish better than crabs.
That's a bluefish. Be careful,they bite like a dog.
You need a license in Florida to fish in salt,fresh or even a mud puddle. They are reasonable for residents. Get the combo fresh/salt and you'll be happy with your purchase. I would also throw in the snook permit. Enjoy.
