Hi matsu. I lived in the mat su for 50 years. I was an avid fisherman and hunter, I f you have a four wheeler go nodth on the parks to. Cantwell andthen go east on the Denali to the bridge on the matsu. River. Just beforee the.bridge iis a gravel pit. Plenty of places to park and unload your wheeler. You will spend the night so take a tent and food or a way to cook fish . take the trail out of the gravel pit that goes south along the laake. Hang to the right And go up the Butte Creek valley until you come to Butte creek and your there. My friend its thee best Greyling fly fishing in the world. Its a long ride in there but if you like to fly fish greyling its pure heaven.
I'm think I'm sent the reply to the wrong guy. I'm used to live in Talkeetna, Montana Creek area and knew a Bill Bird. Are you the same one?
Hi Bill bird, is this the billybird from Talkeetna Alaska?
A pole for Halibut would be overkill to the extreme for trout. It can be done but like Craigthor said it wouldn't be enjoyable at all. If you go to your local sporting goods store and look at a halibut rod you will understand.
Hi, I'm am Mel. Spent my youth in Alaska fishing every kind of fish Alaska has and moved to southern Utah when i retired. I' love catfish, Crappie, and Crawdads.
