Nice job J in Cleveland, for helping BR out.

I’m not a big crappie guy. What time I have goes to the bass.

Nice info Andys. I’m ignorant of the coast. What does a tide have to do with a freshwater fish like crappie?

LOL! I wouldn't BS you. I caught them crappie from Marshy Hope Creek. Tide water, has two tides a day. You do know crappie are in brackish tide water Right?

5/2/24 The weather is hot. The fishing is not. Not for me. This is all I caught this morning.

Hello,

I was living in Va, but live in Ohio now. Do you mind saying what body of water these crappie came out of today. I will go to Va, if there hitting there, there hitting in Va. Don"t know much about this area yet, I was given some places the other day, nice folks. Thanks for the info.

BFR

The crappie were caught from Marshy Hope Creek in Federalsburg Md. on the Eastern Shore of Md. A long way from Va.

5/1/24 What a difference a tide makes. Not good like yesterday. Low tide not moving . Crappie will probably be hitting a little later today. But I won't be there. Going to Jeff's Tap Room for lunch with Pat. Only five keepers this morning.

That must mean you can catch them anywhere, right?

Not at all! That was not the message I was sending. Just showing what I loved to do with the snowbirds that came to Venice FL. where we lived. LOL!

4/30/24 I was going to go for white perch next week, but I am going to stay on these good size crappie that finely showed up. All good size. I was going to lay them out on a table, but I was giving them away as fast as I caught them. First Pat and I had a Doctor appointment. Then we ate a pizza. THEN I went fishing late morning.

4/30/24 It was fun for me when we lived in Venice FL.. So much fun and so many fish caught, I sold my flats boat and just fished the beaches for a lot of years. Best fun was showing snowbirds how to catch beach fish. They will never forget their visit to the Venice FL. beaches. Look at the smiles.

4/28/24 I really miss FL. You don't even need a boat to catch good size fish from the beach. Me and Brother In-Law Don at Sanibel Island FL. I sold my flats boat and just fished the beaches for many years. Great Memories. DOA Night Glow Shrimp is all you need. Ain't that right Ken Taylor.
