Hey Jo D. I'm from Columbia but now living in sumter. I'd fish a pond or 2 when I got the chance but what I really enjoy is going to lake wateree. It's not far from you. I get an air bnb on the water and fish all day. There is also an airforce recreation site that had decent cabin rentals. You have to b military oriented to rent but if not you can still fish the docks there. Crappie, shellcracker, catfish and bass as well. Another spot I like is santee state park. They have cabin rentals also and 10 of them are on shore. Good fishing in santee. Those are 2 of my faves. If anybody near sumter knows some good spots or ponds or whatever please don't hesitate to reach out.

Lol. I would really like to start a fishing group fellas. I'm an Army vet and I love to fish. My favorite is crappie, shellcracker, bluegill and big sunfish. But I can get with the catfish and bass too. I just really love the taste and personal achievements that come with huge panfish. But whatever the fish, being in contact with great fishermen and enjoying what we all love is definitely a cool thing. My favorite part of fishing other than catching what I target is meeting some of the greatest guys and gals I've ever met. Fishermen are the best. Anyone who wants to interact with me or share Info is absolutely more than welcome.

I'm in sumter SC. Does anyone have a nice pond or lake my wife and I can fish in for some big brim and crappie? Don't mind paying each visit and I always leave a spot cleaner than I received it. We just really love pan fishing and always jump at the chance to do so.
