At our young age, we need to listen to our bodies. If it hurts don’t do it.

Hello stagers.
While in Detroit working the NFL Draf l took a nasty fall and chipped one ead of my Humorous,. The upper arm bone. The chip isn't severe enough to warrant any kind of treatment and will heal on its own, with a noticeable bump just under the elbow.
No cast
No sling, but I have to make sure that I don't hit it again and complete the fracture.
It hurts like wadden. Dr said to go ahead and use it, but any numbness or tingling to come in right away.
So dear friends I'm going to lay low for awhile.
I'll be back very soon.
Commander Bell out 👍

I was born around the Detroit area, and I was wondering how the Draft worked out. From the articles I’ve read, it went pretty well.

Went carping in 70 degree Carnegie Lake this evening during a sunny, cool nor’easter. Threw out a can of corn 🌽 for chum, then caught a 6 lb common carp on my first cast for this year. Then caught a 14 lb common carp on my second cast. After catching a white sucker, I landed a 10 lb common carp on my last cast. As I walked to my car with my rods and bucket 🪣, a young woman went to my fishing 🎣 spot, knocked over my bucket of fish 🐠, then tried to kick the fish back into the lake. I returned before she was successful. NJ people suck. I gave the four fish to Wendy’s. A fisherman from Virginia netted my two biggest fish. I used my last can of whole kernel corn 🌽 from last year.

Live here in Salem, Oregon (Capital City). Spend a lot of my time in the Tillamook area, both fishing hunting and just relaxing and enjoying. I've been to that specific campground more than once. Dad moved us to Oregon from California in 1975 and I've been in love with it ever since. There's no way in hell you'll ever get me out of the beautiful rainforests of the Pacific Northwest. The Roosevelt elk, the blacktail deer, the black bear and all the other wildlife we have is almost incomparable, not to include the incredible fishing.

My son would agree with you, he hikes and camps when ever he can. I guess there are certain times of the year when you enter your name in a lottery for open camping sites. He has not been picked yet put he keeps trying.

ahhhhh....The sights of home Thanks Matt I really enjoyed the pic's it's been 12 years or so sense I was back there

You did leave a beautiful area. Grandkids have been out here about 3 years. As you know the pictures are nice, but it doesn’t do it justice to the environment.

In Oregon this week and we did some hiking. Went to the Tillamook campground. A little rainy, but with a view we had, along with the relaxing sound of the river, we didn’t even notice it. Enjoy the pictures.

Thanks for everyone’s advice. I did the Benadryl and NyQuil combination, and that gave me more sleep last night than the last three combined.
At least I’m headed in the right direction.

Mine was from some form of a allergy Matt. Forced air heat just spreads that crap throughout the house. Claritin cleared mine up.

I was thinking that. I’m out in Oregon visiting the grandkids, and the blooming season is in full swing here.

This past winter there was a topic about coughing, at times uncontrollably, especially trying to sleep. Just wondering what, if anything anyone did to make it better.
Thanks in advance for the advice.

Welcome to retirement. I’m going on my second year of retirement, and last year I fished more, in one year than I have in the last 10 put together. Time goes fast, enjoy.

Got there early and started fishing around 6:30am and off the lake around 12:30. Was on the slow side, but caught 8 small ones. People I chatted with on the lake were doing about the same. Water level down about 8 ft., here we go again?

Well, when I’m on the water catching fish, I don’t care what I look like. 😂 and I have not heard the fish complaining.
