Going down there Tuesday for a couple days and was hoping someone could give me a bass fishing report? I’m not looking for any tournament advice just hoping for some encouraging reports?

Hello One n All!
My name is Eddie Richards.
I've lived in the Hudson Ky. Area for a little over 4 months now and the boat ramp mentioned in the topic title is less than a 1.5 miles, 2 miles at the most from my front door. I've used multiple lures to catch bass from this area. But I was told that a " peanuthead" black jig with a trailer to match is a real good lure to use for rough river. I want to know what other folks think.

Welcome Eddie I fished that area a lot. My parents had a place on Mercer Bend road quite a few years back! I caught them on Texas rigged worms mostly late spring? When water was low I usually went the other way though

Glad to hear you had some excitement on the Green. Were you using live worms or plastic? I have had good luck using purple worms for trolling and casting. How were you fishing, trolling or casting? I love the rush were a Bass hits the bait, I'm always sure it's going to be a 5 or 6 pounder. Congratulations on Bass you all caught. I've had several times of getting skunked. I hope to be fishing the Green in a couple weeks. Have a wonderful evening. TTYL

Plastic worms Texas rigged with quarter ounce weight.

Sorry to hear about the one that got away.🥺

At least you were able to catch a few nice ones.

What type of bait were you using?

Big ribbon tail worms! But not a bunch of bites. Did you get your guide and go out with him yet? I’m wanting to go again soon but not sure which lake yet? Green or Nolin are my favorites. I’m retired and only go during the week when the weather is decent? Good luck to you and the rest of the fishingstage community

Hello Sir,
That's awesome looking Bass. I just relocated to Campbellsvile. I have been told the Green is a great place to fish. Since I know nothing about the Green, I decided to use a professional guide. Post spawn, is a little more difficult for Bass. If you get back through C-VILLE here is my cell 270-572-2186 call or text we could grab coffee or something. We could trade story's about the Big One That Got Away. Lol
Lynn

They ain’t all post spawn? Should be a shad spawn any day now so getting a guide is a good idea? But remember what happened one day can change the next. I put you on my buddy list so I will be watching for your posts? You can private message me about Green River Res. It’s a good lake but can be a tough place too

Way to go, Steve! Are the bass in a post-spawn pattern now?

The biggest one was actually pre spawn! I think all phases of the spawn going on! I caught a lot of 14 inch fish and not many looking like on bed? No bloody tails or anything like that

Going to Nolin tomorrow. Anybody been? Going to try to catch me a bass? Taylorsville didn’t treat me very good last week! No keepers in 2 days! Gonna fish around the Wax area and a little fishing report might be helpful? I’m not looking for tournament help. Just fishing in my retirement.
