Before I posted this one I looked up the photographer (Vincent van Zalinge) and he is from the Netherlands. So I guess so is this photo. I have never seen one of this color either. Ours here look more gray to me.

I have a Belted one that lives at the back of my property somewhere in the trees above our stocked pond , crazy thing is I only seem to see him in the fall and he gets downright Po'd whenever I go out to the pond and he let's me know my presence isn't welcome by him! Well now I know why he is always mad, it says->Male and female Belted Kingfishers give strident, mechanical rattles in response to the slightest disturbance. When threatened they may give screams, which males sometimes combine with harsh calls.

If you don't know where that is Maybe Gordon can help direct you to that location

For all you Bird Lovers, be it Backyard birds or Companion Birds/parrots,
Hey Guys I am one of those bird people (at present time I have an African Grey named Rosey) but I have also had Jardine Parrots, Cockatiels, parakeets and have raised zebra and society finches.
I Love my backyard birds too and just had to share this amazing video I had run across in my you-tube library I have had for awhile. Its of a young fella that rescued a baby hummingbird. It is just so adorable and I never tire of watching it! Hope you enjoy it as much as I always do!
Merry Christmas! Mary Anne

Those were 2 gorgeous fish. What did they weigh? That's one chunky striper.

The cat weighed 9.90 lbs and the striper weighed 7.80 lbs

how big was the catfish

The Cat weighed 9.9 lbs not sure of length, I know my striper was 26 inches so the cat was longer than that

The day started out kind of strange considering the first 2 items we pulled into the boat seemed a little fishy to be finding out on the middle of the lake!! Then The Professor caught his PB Cat and I caught my PB Stripped bass!
It was a beautiful day on the water, You could see Gods Love in the clouds!

These are the first two items we brought into the boat!

GODS Love Shines Brightly!

Thank you for sharing, FT. I was going to point out surviving otherwise certain death or crippling isn't luck but, as you stated, "blessed" by God. My sister told me, after seeing the damaged plane I was flying and safely landed with most of the top of the port wing missing, "God doesn't want to take you yet!"

Praise GOD and GOD Bless you Brother! My father Robert who was also called Bob was killed when I was 8 years old while flying a plane. He was flying over an inlet and saw some friends on the water on a company yacht and swooped the plane down to wave back at them however they were not waving at him but trying to wave him away from hitting an unmarked power line and the plane hit the power line took the wing out and the plane nose dived into 40 feet of water killing him and the passenger instantly. They said he tried so hard to pull the plane up that he had pulled the throttle out of the plane. They also said that crash broke every bone in his body. He was only 40 when he was killed. My dad had planned to take my mother fishing the next day. Just curious Bob, did you fly after that?

Surprise, surprise! God has a mission for every one of us. My personal belief is that we all have a purpose and should be watching to catch on to what it is that God wants us personally to get involved. When that is done, or if we ignore the call to action, he is very likely to cut our stay short and call us.

Believe me, you aren't on this Earth just to enjoy life and have a good time. Some have it good and others are having a difficult time in their lives, but all have a purpose. Do not ignore sharing, loving, and giving where you see the need, and keep your eyes open to the possibilities for those needs that are there. Just Sayin...RJS
Surprise, surprise! God has a mission for every o... (show quote)

Beautifully Said RJS, and let us not forget to pray for those poor souls who think Life is just one big party. You know I have wondered my entire life what it was God wanted me to do here on this earth. And I use to say I was put here to make doctors think outside the box because I have so many illnesses and almost every doctor I have seen for whatever body part they are trying to fix on me always starts out the same, they say out of the 20 or so years of being in this practice I have never seen a case like yours! And I really didn't want that to be my reason for being here because that reason means I will always be in pain. Now I would have to say I am here for two reasons. To make doctors think outside the box (which I definitely have) and to share my testimony of how very real GOD is and to try and touch as many lives as I can with that message. GOD Bless You brother!
