Well fishing a lot of the oxbows off the Mississippi River the te water rarely clears spinner baits with a willow and Colorado blades with a craw or black worm trailer slow rolled
Shakey head jigs black and blue with small rattels on the hook shank with a June bug worm or crawler or Carolina or Texas rig
A Riot baits fuzzy there action produces small bubbles when worked also a garlic shad attractant sprayed on the bait gets there smellers going
Top water walk the dog with stick baits like a Riot Ronin
And watch the water blow
Color is good but the sound and sent is more important I’d you fish waters with a lot of craw then when Carolina or Texas rigged use a bead between your weight and hook or weight and swivel for clicking sounds
Good luck fishing muddy water can be a challenge but easy to over come
My self I bump docks stumps and trees before the lure lands in the water waking up your catch

True story this happened two weeks ago at a tournament in Mississippi first cast of the morning with a Riot Ronin stick bait two twitches and the fight was on I made the mistake of short lining it at the boat as I went to lip this lunker with eyes the size of marbles the 17 lb test
Flori carbon line snapped fish and lure gone short line on land outs to much stress on the line
And flipping in the boat could harm the fish and in MLF that’s a deduction on the total weight

Garlic shad spray is a great attractant . But try soaking your plastic baits in coffee no joke
Or using a injector needle and injecting your soft plastics
Bass love it great early morning
Bite baits . Also if you live in the south and love craw fish after a boil put your baits in a zip lock with some of the shells and let sit you can take the juice and put in a spray bottle also remember Bass in Louisiana like it hot all joking aside it works
