Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday next week, weather report says 68 in the morning 80 by afternoon. Thursday, Friday, Saturday project 30% chance of rain, which, for Maine probably means good chance of no rain.
Pemaquid is one of my favorites, just to the right as you launch, is a great spot in front of house. Has always yielded one or two bass, seems too close, but I launch kayak and make a beeline for those lilies, tight lines. Martin in Maine.
Fished Damariscotta Lake today, LMB on surface lures, nothing big, just fun. Martin in Maine
David,
Have you tried Thomas Point, near Brunswick Maine? about an hour and 15 minutes from you. I like to get there an hour and a half before high tide. And I usually use worms. Johnson’s bait shop is just a few min away, opens at 8:30am. Call 1st to check if they have worms on the day you plan to fish.
Good luck us know how are you do. Martin in Maine
Not “are” but meant “I” used dock to balance myself. Scary but fun.
Kayak put-in area in water is steep but fishing made it worth while. Are used dock to balance myself on the way out of water. Enjoy.
Location is behind new Bath high school, I use address of 75 Congress St., Bath, for GPS. Exit Route 1 north at Congress Street, turn right at #75 into parking lot, slowly down hill, kayak put-in on right behind weeds. Tight lines, Martin in Maine

NJ291bands: 90 days till back in the kayak
Hi:
2022 was a good kayak fishing season (with some walk-ins if no safe launch site).
While waiting for mid-coast Maine ponds to soften (6-8 in ice on most ponds now) I have time to sharpen my 10 best Wopper-Ploppers, Rapalas / surface type, and Chatterbaits and practice new knots, like the Double Uni Knot. I hope pro-fishermen / manufactures will reveal new lures, but early news is only about "new" colors. At $10-12 each, I'm underwhelmed. Some winter nights I pass the time reading about an emerging category of "PACK RODS" for walk-in fishing (shout out to the T-man for that idea) or air travel (using 25" trolly bag) to new destinations. Also binged on YouTube videos touting fly fishing using spin equipment w spinner/fly combo attached by short mono.
That will get me ready for the April start (I hope) of the softwater season. How are you prepping for 2023?
