Nice work CD! I promise to be better about sharing guys. Perhaps it was the 5 pound bass I hooked but lost getting it into the at Lake Amador losses before I got a net on it! Lake Amador is a beautiful place, they had release over 1500 pound of trout near the day we were there. I am a budding bass fisherman so joined 2 good friends who are great bass fisherman and their boat. We caught about 13 bass that day, I kept 3, we released the others. We maybe missed 2 including my monster 5 pounder which, would have been te biggest bass I ever caught! Anyway, great time out. We fished all the nooks and crannies and were on the water from 6:30 am to 8 pm. Okay, I hooked on bass fishing now! Also fished for trout in between bass, never got a trout hook up. Agreed, a little on the expensive side to fish but a nice lake.
We gotta talk professor of Kayaking! Haha.. yes, I'm a bank fisherman but want to get out on the water. I only have room for one solid Kayak light enough to go on top of my SUV rig.
Thank you, your info helps a lot. I fish mainly trout and starting to fish for bass more too. Looking for a great kayak where I won't find myself trading up for few years, so trying to choose wisely.

You are a die hard man! 8 miles, great exercise though the hook-ups for trout were not that great. Question, toying with a kayak for fishing. Do you recommend a pedal kayak with rudder over a standard kayak? Any great advice is appreciated.

Trout fishing in the Austrian Alps with my brother and nephew! The small lake we fished looked like one of those puzzles where the alps were reflected onto the fishing lake! Unforgettable. Because of that trip I was hooked on fishing and decided to make it a life hobby! Thanks you guys and gals for making it fun reading all of your stories and learnings.
