Hey guys going to be headed down to Sam Rayburn in 10 days, I was just wondering what the fish are doing right now. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Yes sir RJS. That’s why I do this. I try to fish somewhere every year that I have never been to. Last year was Arkansas lakes. This year it’s Texas
Thank you sir. We will be there the last weekend in March. I’m sure the water temp will dictate what I do. I’m a short line dirty water guy. I don’t get to fish for Florida strain very often so all the help I can get I appreciate. Never was a big sight fisherman because so many get jerked off the nest and hauled to a weigh in 20 mile away. If you strictly catch and release that fish will still spawn otherwise to stressful for the fish to do it again. Not saying I haven’t just don’t do it a lot. Topwater or floating worm are a couple of my favorite techniques hoping maybe that will be good about that time.
Thank you. Appreciate the information
Thanks Chuck. We are going to fish at least 3 days maybe 4. Toledo bend pretty treacherous to navigate?
Yes sir. March is so unpredictable
Yes sir. Better to have and not need than need and not have.
I was thinking the same thing. That’s the way I grew up. Full moon
I’ll check that out. Thank you
I figured as much but unfortunately I am unable to be off work for those days. Just going to be a long weekend run for fun
Believe it or not they are both 8 1/2 hour drive. Believe I will fish both while I’m down. It’s the weather that always gets me😁😁
I’m sure they are both great. Just trying to decide which one to hit
If you was going fishing the last weekend in March would you go to Sam Rayburn or Toledo Bend?
