I’m in the Cadillac area and am trying to find a few crappies. I can catch them after work around the docks during the spawn but I hate to disturb the fish then, even after catch and release they are stressed.
New waters to explore might be a great thing.
There have been fish in the river with the warmups. This morning several were caught Thursday.
Target species?
I’m looking for a fishing partner to share exploring some new lakes!
I’m retiring next month. The boats are ready!
It’s a Great Lake!
As long as you can get out before the jet ski’s.
I toured several lakes in the Kalkaska area. Those that were frozen now have lots of snow and slush on top of the marginal ice!
The unfrozen lakes are frozen over but thin.
The trails to smaller lakes and a lot of the parking lots are impassable!
The expected warm rains will make a mess of the ice we have.
