Newly retired to this area. And laid up a little bit, orthopedic stuff, only limited to shore and pier fishing etc. forseveral morr weeks. suggestions. About location,bait, times, Etc.?

I am new to the Seminole, Indian rocks Beach, Florida area. Recently retired from Chi. Somewhat temporarily laid up due to an orthopedic recovery issue. Living on a canal, outflow of the intercoastal waterway. Currently limited to dock and shore fishing in that canal. Gathering information, baits, lures, tides/times,etc. Tips/feedback?
