Never been out at the end of the plank on a swordfish harpoon boat
You clearly see the swordfish cross the bow And the harpoon hit the swordfish in the back but the harpoon pops out
As to the camera location tell me how you think our might do
Tried to respond earlier don’t know if it sent sorry if this is a repeat

Just wanted to say hello it’s been some time since I have been on
I don’t think you ever get too old to fish
About a year ago I posted a photo of my 230 +or- bluefin tuna I just posted a video of one that got away aboard a stick boat (commercial fishing boat I was watching them try to harpoon a swordfish)
Some of you might remember me I did a lot of mako shark fishing and also I am a county fish and game Commissioner
Life is good

Sorry I took so long to respond
That day I watched others catch bluefin all about the same size and taking an hour and a half to two hour to land
So at 70 years old I knew I would not last that long and having to pass off my rod and real would have been one of the worst days of my life
So I gambled as soon as I got hooked up I gave it all I had 100%. I was able to get its head turned in the direction of the boat. Probably 200yards out. The next 20 minutes all went ok but then my left arm started cramping up as I pumped the rod and my right arm followed with pain from cranking the reel.
Next the most amazing site DEEP COLOR
Now from my knees and the rod pivoting on the rail seeing that monster circling under the boat and back out. The deckhand now leaning over the rail half in the boat and half out WOW the first gaff in the head a second gaff followed . I was now ready to fall on the deck but was told I had to assist in lifting the fish with the gaff onto the boat
I did then collapsed
A special THANKS to the skipper and crew of the Vagabond out of San Diego COULD NOT OF BEEN ANY BETTER A FISHING TRIP

That could be the case in parts of California. If you fish in our lakes and streams you could be exposing yourself to mercury and PCB,s

Every fresh water fishermen in California needs to open and read this
(I am not sure I can send a link here if it doesn’t work I will figured it out and resend)

Just to clarify
I am 70 years old
This tuna took all I had I was 100 percent spent when the first gaff connected the without the deck hands never would have made it

Wish I could
As a San Bernardino county fish and game commissioner I understand in order to sell your catch you must have a California commercial fishing license. You I believe that applies to all aboard. Even if I could I would not sell it. I enjoyed delivering pieces of bluefin to all my friends for
