Agree totally Mojoman I like a little more challenge with small cranks and jigging nowadays. But have caught minnows Cray fish Hellgramites leeches and other creepy Crawley’s with great success! Most of the fun is catching the bait then slaying smallies Anytime you can get out into the rapids is a great day though. Fishon

Yes bowfin,when my brother caught one 50 years in Pa.when we were kids,our Father told us it was prehistoric and we found a new species. We were so excited, When we got back to the dock the man at the bait store told us it was a bowfin And yes it was prehistoric. We didn’t discover but def a Dino. They are the friendlier cousins to the Snakeheads. Please leave bowfins back definitely kill there evil cousin
