I was out on Thursday by the Indian River Inlet Bridge during the incoming morning tide. The birds were swarming all around the bridge. Threw in a swim bail and had half of it chewed off, blues were feeding like crazy. Switched to a 2 oz spoon and tied on a paddle tail teaser for the heck of it. Was catching two at a time for a while then it slowed down but it was a fun hour. The storm off the coast closed some of the drive on beaches for Friday and Saturday. Not sure about today was watching football. Good luck!!
Well Gary you may come to find out that this area is very similar to Conowingo and the Susquahanna as far as the rocks go. Caught two shorty stripers last week at the inlet but lost two rigs in the process. Stripers should begin their migration soon and they are a blast to catch. The north side of the inlet has a lot of fish if you can navigate the rocks. Best of luck!!
Great job guys looks like an awesome time.
Nice fish guys. Don't recognize the structure. Were you in NJ?
Beautiful beach day and very nice fish Fly!!!
Have been catching a lot of bluefish at the Indian River Inlet. Incoming tide has had better results. Metal spoons worked for me, some used cut bunker. Good luck.
Jeez those are some big boys!!! Nice.
Done and done. They weren't bad!
Thanks Rich. It will be very crowded here this weekend and the weather needs to calm down a bit!
The wind was really brutal the last few days here at the Inlet. Managed to grab these two guys this morning and brought them home to try out some suggested recipes from last week.
Thanks for all the ideas heading out tomorrow to try again! Tight lines everyone.
Thanks Bock I'm going to try them again.
That's been my experience in the past but willing to try it again.
