If you can’t catch live shad what is your go to? I haven’t had much luck keeping “stink bait” on the hooks. Oh, this is for jug lines.

Caught on juglines baited with chicken thighs. Had hoped for more but I couldn’t catch any shad so I went with the bait I had. Will cook up nicely.

I have a certified therapy dog. We visit multiple senior facilities each week. Here he is “working” this afternoon. He spreads joy on each visit.

9.5 Blue caught on cut bait on a jugline. Great day yesterday! I am learning about fishing for catfish so hopefully I will have more pictures to post soon.

Blessings to you all.

Howdy!

I haven’t posted in awhile. I haven’t forgotten y’all and hope you remember me!

I’ve never done any striper fishing but I’m thinking about a trip for my wife and myself. Anyone have any suggestions on a guide for Lakr Quachita?

Thanks!

I hope you all had a great weekend. It's still windy here in North Texas. I did manage to get out last Friday for a couple of hours. I didn't find any crappie but did catch a couple of sand bass (white bass). That was fun.

My therapy dog Cash and I are headed to the public library after lunch for the Pawsitive Read to a Dog program. Kids come in and spend 15 minutes each reading to him. He mostly sleeps through the stories but the kids love it.

Stay safe and spread peace and happiness when you can. There's far too much strife and divisiveness in our world.

My family will be on vacay in Destin in mid July. I’ve gone out on group fishing boats before with mixed results. Do any of you have suggestions or recommendations? I can’t afford huge amounts (I know that definition varies with individuals) but would like a nice time with good results.

It ain’t huge but it was my first ever trout. I caught two. I’m “hooked”. 😁
Beautiful scenery and caught a couple as a bonus.

My dog is a certified therapy dog. We do a lot of nursing home visits. We have just started going to libraries and letting kids “read to the dog”. We are really enjoying our volunteer time now that I am retired.

No, I'm not bringing my boat. She lives in Lindale. What a great offer. Do you have room for all three of us? Her; April and her hubby Bill. If not, just tell us a good bank fishing spot. Isn't there a Tyler Lake? Does it have cats? I want to do a Fish Fry for them. Either on the bank or back at their house by the swimming pool. You are invited. I'll bring our famous Idaho Potato's for french frys. You can bring the hushpuupys.

I don’t know what an out of state fishing license cost. Probably not a lot. Game wardens are on Tawakoni a lot so I highly recommend getting a license.
