Here in Ky. I stopped by a local lake the past 3 days. Day one I caught 6 very aggressive smaller bass. Day 2 my brother caught a crappie in about 30 inches of water. Today we didn’t even get a bite. We had a lot of rain last night so that may have had some effect on them. March 5 we went to lake Cumberland and caught several nice crappie. They had already moved closer to the bank and caught them on a swirly tail bluegill in 20 to 30 inches of water
We planned a big fishing trip on lake Cumberland for my dads birthday. Had boat trouble and couldn’t use the boat. We refused to let that slow us down. We decided to fish off the bank. Saturday caught 2 smaller bass, four or five crappie, and several descent bluegill/sun fish. Sunday we only caught 1 crappie. But it was a giant to us. Here are some pictures of a few. Not monsters but we had fun and got our fishing season up and running
I used to tie Popeyes for a guy when I was in the 4th grade. I also made the jig heads he painted. Since I couldn’t find any baits I’ve been making my own again and am starting to make some plastics. There’s great satisfaction in catching a fish on something you made
Dick's here where I live stopped carrying fishing supplies when they stopped carrying fire arms. I guess they don't like that type of clientelele. One more good reason not to shop there at all.
