Thanks, Judge, for your comments. I've been plotting our trip with the use of the 2018 edition of "Milepost". Looks like we'll travel up 97 through most of Canada with a deviation West to visit Prince Rupert and then continue north on hgwy #37 for about 400 miles. The Milepost identifies some great fishing spots along the way - for trout and greyling as well as salmon. There's even some advice about particular rivers that where we're likely to encounter fishing grizzlies. I may attempt to regain some fly fishing talent since that seems to be the most popular and fun way to fish these streams. Thanks again for your response.

Hello - I'm a new member of the fishing forum. My wife with two other couples will pull three 19' Escape Trailers from Washington State up the Alcan to the Denali area this coming June - plan to be out for a couple of months with side trips through BC and SouthEastern Alaska. I've been a saltwater salmon fisherman for years, but want a chance to get acquainted with rivers and streams along the Alcan. I'm looking for perspective from someone who has spent time along this long route. I've not fly fished for years and may stick with trout and salmon fishing with lures. Anybody out there who has made this kind of trip?
