Tgrogan, I fish Wilhelm often ... Lots of Bass , crappie and small walleye . I toss lures and use live bait.

I am fishing from my kayak so I launch at the south end - out of Sandy Lake or north end above the 79 bridge depending on where I want to fish. We have been getting some nice Crappie recently

See you on the lake

I personally love above or below Lock 8 and Lock 9 on the Allegheny just upriver from Kittanning
Fishing is good - pressure is low and the area is beautiful

See you on the river

Hi 76
Moraine and Wilhelm have nice Perch - you will need to get on the water to get to them...

Lots and lots of nice slabs hitting now like these from Wilhelm north end above the 79 bridge

Hi 76
I fish from my Bonafide SS127 - paddle power- a little planning on where to launch gets me where I want to fish. My rig would not be easy to car top. Even with all the accessories stripped off I would not want to try and get it on roof racks without damage to the car.

The Plus = this rig is wonderful in the water - the elevated seat is great - I even stand up if the water is smooth. I am 66 years old with two replaced hips so the comfort is a big issue. I hall my rig in a full size F350 long bed - if you can do a trailer the Bonafide SS127 may be for you .

I fish Shenango or Moraine almost every weekend in the spring - its Crappie time in Western PA !!!
See you on the lake

If you are after the portion in Indiana County the creek runs along Rte 286 with many places to access the shore. I have not fished these waters in years - best of luck and let us know how you do

My son lives near Chippewa and when my grandson was little we did well at Bradys Run Lake & Racoon - lots of places for young fisherman to fish worm & bobber from shore

Good luck !

Hi Barr Man

I have had great luck on French Creek - Float from Cochranton to Utica and hook into loads of Bass - an occasional Pike and tons of smalls
Also not far from there is Lake Wilhelm - a crappie factory !
The Allegheny River at Oil City will produce too

Good luck - I will see you out there

. Welcome aboard Predator. Frogman here and I fish Pymatuning alot mostly chasing LM bass but springtime I will be drifting north of Tuttle point and Clark Island for eyes. I now have a motorized kayak which makes this coming year more exciting . From all my contacts I have from around there they are catching crappie at the spillway along the rip rap . I don't fish the south end much so I'm not really confident to share my advice for there . I did get into a lot of Perch before the ice came in this fall on the north end of Clark using the Wilson launch. That being said I spend almost 5-6 days a week throwing Frogs and "Ripping Lips " for LM off Wilson launch ,there is a huge pad area there. So hope this adds some insight on this lake...never count out numerous cats and muskie always a possibly. Maybe see ya there this season. I'm in a gray SS127 flying the Am. Flag. Pull up and give me a chat if ya want.🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲
