Hello everyone...I have a question, I was on the fishandboat.com website (thank you flytier a lot of good information). I see there is a category for Keystone Select Stocked Trout Waters. Has anyone fished those before? The only one close to me is middle branch white clay preserve. If anyone has any information I so would appreciate it. I am thinking on fishing there it is only about a 40 min drive and seems like a nice area.

I saltwater fished in the Clearwater/st Pete area for years and you can not go wrong with an ugly stick. I highly recommend them. I also never spent a ton of money on reels because saltwater does a number on them and repair is expensive. You can get a nice 2500 series reel and the set should be close to $100. I always bought the rod and reel separate.

Nice.
I graduated high school then joined the army. Got out after desert storm and moved to Florida. Went to the police academy and was hired by the sheriffs office in Clearwater. Retired year ago and wife was relocated to Pennsylvania. We love it here.

Thank you all for the tips on lures. I have ordered some should have them soon. Ok so I have another question...
When I am saltwater fishing I would look at the tides to see when was the best time to fish. When freshwater fishing, is there a good or better time to fish during the day?

Ok sorry rookie here I should clarify. I am not fly fishing but if I ever get a fly rod I will most definitely take you up on those flies. I am casting with a spinning ultra light rod and reel. So I am looking for advice on casting lures for trout.
