I am currently staying in an RV park which is about 1 hour from Sandpoint. The plan is to stay here about 2 more months unless the smoke from the fires forces us to leave. Currently on most days the smoke is not too bad, can't really smell it, only affects visibility. Let's keep in touch and when it is closer to when you are available, we can make some plans.
Will be in this area for several weeks and looking for a fishing buddy, my boat or yours. I have a Lund 1850 Tyee equipped with down riggers. I am a 66 year old male and have experience fishing several different kinds of fish.
Short distances, less than 20 miles I don't cover. Longer distances and higher speeds I cover as a stone hit the window one time and I had to replace it. Most of the gear I leave on the boat in locked compartments. If I stay overnight in a motel I take my tackle boxes and fish locator out.
Hope you have good luck on the Columbia, send pictures of your catch. Tight lines.
Looking for a fishing buddy in the Lake Chelan area. My boat or yours. My boat is a Lund 1850 Tyee with downriggers, 175 h.p., 9.9 h.p. kicker motor and electric bow mounted motor. I will be in this area for the next 3 months. I am a 66 year old male with experience fishing for kokanee, trout and other fish but not in this area.

Has anyone fished on Koocanusa Lake or the Kootenai River in northwest Montana? If yes, what kind of fish were you fishing for and how long ago did you fish this area?
