Thank you, BF. Ive watched many war movies, including about Normandy Beach, but this struck me differently. It realy made me leaky eyed, and still am. I quess because all of you were digging each other friendly and funny, then the post about the movie. An after-thought and inspiration all at once.

Stop at Big Pine, turn left at the light, 1 or 2 streets maybe (they both work), go right at the park and left into Baker Creek campgroud. No fee during the day
There are 2 ponds with trout or the upper creek has alot of trout, stockers and larger.

Try Tuff campgroud, right at Tom's Place. Rock Creek is level and wide nice place
Camp here too, space #22 is the best.
compared to turning left and going to upper campgrounds and lake
June should be nice.

Ok, I'll take the challenge but only know about fresh fishing trout and bass. Fishing ocean too but only on a charter. Thats why we are moving to TN.

A fishermen nevers loses interest. I live near LA. CA and fish every year at least once. Go camping for a week in the Sierras and catch my limit twice over of rainbows. We are moving to central TN within 2 months. Escrow just started on CA house but the Crossville, TN house just fell thru. We need to find an other house quickly, hopefully near or on water. Any help would help. Don't really want to fly out and look all over again. I'm 66 but still love fishing Thats what i want for my birthday every year.

I've always thought any corn was illegal to fish and chum with. I'll have to double check that also.

Before you get to June Lake stop in Big Pine. Turn left at the gas stations and go the Baker Creek Campgroud. There are nice stocked streams and a couple of ponds. We have always caught rainbows in the ponds, stocked 12". In the creeks you will get small browns and decent rainbows. Its free to fish there and a beautiful campground to stay at. We go up there at least once a year. Further north in Toms Place turn right and go to Tuff Campground. You have to walk in to just fish but a beautiful campground with a nice level stream, not like the campgrounds to the left at Toms Place.
