Nice catching Crik. That is a Hula Popper, or a knockoff of one.
All I know is that it was cheap and effective
As a few of you are aware I am a predominantly a Bass guy, and as such my weapons of choice are basic and cheap. A W'mart 5ft ugly stick, 8lb Stren line, and a 2/0 hook and Gary Yamamoto 5 inch green pumpkin yamasenko, this morning was no different. The results was two very healthy Bass for which I give thanks... My mom was know to say, " a change is as good as a rest ", so with that in mind, broke out my 4ft creek ugly stick, 4lb Stren, and an 1/8th ounce white, silver blade roster tail.. 3 juveniles later, I had to give it to mom, she knew her sh*^!, stuff.... OK so I dig in the fishing vest, and find a small red mouthed popper, and low and behold 2 more very Fiesta bass...... I do hope that everyone has a great weekend and day off Monday if that applies....Tight Lines brothers and sisters
Brother always appreciate your comments, if your ever east bound and down, don't hesitate to reach out .......
Once again you find me at our camp ground outside of Coatsville PA. The wife and I decided to bug out early to our oasis, as it's so peaceful and relaxing. Once we were set up and had had some dinner I ventured to my ponds and for 90 minutes it was game on and tight lines.... apparently I can only attach 10 pictures... oh well take my word there were 2 more.... a wonderful 4th to my brother's and sisters in the USA 🇺🇸
Great pictures. Looks as though everyone had a good time. Having just posted of my Grandsons first fishing trip, I can thoroughly understand the joy the grandkids bring as a new generation of fishers
As posted yesterday was a milestone day, grandson's first catch. As a result we allowed him to celebrate, with chocolate swiss roll, and stay up as long as he wanted. Sufficed to say he didn't stir as GiGi made his way down to the ponds at 06.15hrs..... peace and quiet, the sunrise and it was ..... game on......
So today I had one of those moments you don't realize you wanted to have until it happens. It's Friday evening a gorgeous 75 degree evening by the pond with someone very special, my 5 yr old grandson Carter, it's his first time fishing with Gigi ( hey its what the grandkids call me deal with it) He was so good, watched and listened, he wasn't bored or fussing and then the pay off..... not one not two but three small ... well to be honest I am not sure what they are but he caught them, reeled them and landed them. Not into touching yet but let's just be happy for him....
Another day done and dusted, works sucks but it is a necessary evil, so I am heading to the Oasis, the wife and my name for our rv camp site located outside of Coatsville PA. Picking up our regular treat of ReRe's turkey special and a BLT. Dinner enjoyed, it was time to head pond side..... so as always armed with my Ugly Stick, 8lb mono, a 2/0 hook, and....ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, for those in attendance and the..MILLIONS watching around the worrrrllllddddd.... I give you THEE 5 inch,Gary Yamamoto, green pumpkin tamasanko dinger..... .. 2hrs later......
So the wife and I spent the weekend at our camper outside of Coatsville PA. The weather was absolutely as good as you would want it, cool evenings and nights. Good company and amazing food... There were chores to be done wash and wax the complete camper... done... there was of course time to relax by the ponds and tempt the denizens of the deep.... I hear you guys saying go frog... but I can't get away from the 5 inch green pumpkin yamasanko.... results.... see the pics...tight lines to you all
Another Stella morning, sunrise was awesome, beside the pond 6am-ish..... thanks for the suggestions of going frog bait in these weedy ponds, but I am a creature of habit, yamasanko 5 inch dinger, green pumpkin.... so none of my 5 were going to set the world on fire, but a I am not fishing to be able to gloat, just put a few in the creel, ( actually catch and release)..... tight lines my friends...
Another wonderful morning pond side.... alas only the one bite, brief but increased the heart rate, but for a moment. Tomorrow's another day
So first trip this weekend to the rv parks ponds, , Texas rig, Gary Yamamoto 5 inch green pumpkin yasanko. Always have fun, relaxing and quiet....
Several interested parties took the bait, but no takers.... until a small large mouth got just a bit too enthusiastic... let's see what tomorrow brings....tight lines to all
Thanks.... weather permitting be back there at 6am tomorrow... tight lines
