Good morning, everyone. This will find me sitting in the airport at 5:30am. I’m on the first flight. I’m headed home, there’s been an emergency. I got a call yesterday from my wife’s son and apparently my wife has had a heart attack. Not sure of the damage, but she’s coherent and talking. She was transported to the hospital ICU. So if I appear to be absent for awhile, that’s why. I hope every one of you have an enjoyable day…

Good morning, everyone. 47/66. Looks like the sun is going to make an appearance today. My sister is up from SoCal for the weekend so she’s going to stay with Mom which allows me to get away to go watch my youngest granddaughter, who just turned 10 on Thursday play soccer. She says that she’s going to play in the Olympics. And if she keeps progressing as she has, I believe she will. So hopefully, everyone enjoys their day…🐟on

Not all that many that think that way anymore Dave.

You’re right there, Jimmy. But taking care of family is how I roll. And I can rest assured that as I’m approaching my time, and that I may require a little help that my kids and grandkids will be there for me. It’s a wonderful feeling, having family… 🐟on

Good to hear from you Dave.
Is it dark on the left coast yet?

Hey, Ed. Yeah, took a little break. I read that Cassie is doing well. Congratulations on that. She’s had a tough haul, fer sure. And nope, not dark yet. Nite, buddy…, 🐟on

So sorry to hear that your dad has declined Dave, but I guess that's what happens as we age. Hopefully he'll be comfortable and feel at home there. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, buddy. That’s why we can’t let the old man in. Although he did have a long and enjoyable blue collar, middle income life. 96 and counting. Agreeably hoping he does well there. Thanks again, my friend… 🐟on

I have seen quite a few Dads put away in homes and neglected. I am sure your love will be blessed abundantly.

I have too, Mike. Way too many times. And it really discusses me. I really can’t believe that those people can have a clear conscience. I guess that I’m lucky to have a loving and caring family. And that pertains to the entire family. There are so many families that have issues amongst themselves that tear them apart. It’s truly sad… 🐟on

You got to do what you got to do Dave. Better care is priority 1 and something we all would not want to go through but in many cases it is inevitable.

Look at it as the roles have been reversed. It’s honoring your Dad who gave up a lot in his life for you back in the day and tending to many of your needs.

That’s exactly how I feel about it, Bob. He’s always been there when I needed him. So that’s why I’ll be here for him. It’s just what love and family does or should do, in my opinion…

Thanks, Wulffy. It’s the least that I can do for him…He’s my Dad… 🐟on

Good morning, everyone. 50/62 and cloudy. Well, I’ve kinda been MIA here lately. As some of you know, I’ve been caring for my folks. A couple of weeks ago, Dad had to be hospitalized. He was experiencing hyperactive delirium from a low sodium level caused from pain from a fractured spine. We’re yet to know how that happened but apparently it can happen very easily in an elderly person even from a wrong twist or from a bump. So he spent a week in the hospital and then we decided that with the progression of his Alzheimer’s disease and limited mobility that we should find a memory care facility for him. So I found him a really nice place. There’s only 4 tenants. He’s got a private bedroom and it’s just a regular house. And it’s operated by a mother/daughter. So it seems to be more of a one on one and personal care facility versus the larger ones. So, we haven’t visited him yet. He’ll have been there for a week tomorrow. We felt that we would let him try to settle in and that our presence would possibly distract him and cause him mental/ emotional distress. So I think one of my sisters and I will try to see him today. So I may be in and out here for a while but I’m still around. Hope you enjoy your day…🐟on
