Got to do a charter fishing trip with my son Tues. in Tampa Bay with Optimus Charters. Capt. Brian put on the fish. Together we caught over 70 fish. We have caught over 50 back home but 70 is now the record. Here are a few: red drum, grunt, and a PB sheepshead. Fun!

Well, my wife and I fished up there almost all day last Saturday. I caught 1 small black grouper and a jack. She got 1 small angelfish. I thought it was just a slow day..... pretty apparent to me now that you clearly cleaned the place out ahead of us. πŸ˜‚πŸ‘

Haha. Thank you

Nice catch Doc, that's the biggest Bowfin I've ever seen! There's only a few places that have them here, and they're considered an invasive species. They do fight well though. Thanks for the pictures.

I have caught two that size and lost another. Guessing about 6-7 lbs. I have caught 5 lb bowfins back home in Indiana. Thank you.

Move onto Inverness to do some fresh water fishing. Mrs. Doc has caught a few baitfish off the dock. I use them for bait. Had a three species morning this week. Big bowfin on the live bait, two bass snd a pickerel on a Yamamoto swimsenko. Tough learning new water - but fun.

Thanks for the Pics Doc, don’t get to catch those in my neck of the woods. Great looking fish, do you eat any of the ones you catch?

Thank you. Ate so many bass as a kid, I am strictly catch and release now.
